GoPro Max Lens Mod 2.0 for HERO12 Black & HERO13 Black (ADWAL-002)

The GoPro Max Lens Mod 2.0 is an ultra-wide-angle lens accessory designed for the GoPro HERO12 Black and HERO13 Black action cameras. It expands the camera's field of view to capture more of the surroundings, making it ideal for immersive POV footage, action sports, travel, cycling, skiing, motorcycling and outdoor adventures. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 provides an ultra-wide field of view of up to 177° when using the Max HyperView digital lens in 4K60. This allows you to capture exceptionally wide and immersive footage while keeping more of the scene within the frame. GoPro states that it provides up to 36% wider footage compared with the HERO12 Black alone in the relevant widescreen configuration. The accessory also supports 4K60 Vertical Capture, expanding the field of view by up to 48% without requiring the camera to be rotated or an additional vertical mounting accessory. This makes it particularly useful for creating immersive footage suitable for social media and vertical video platforms. Max HyperSmooth provides advanced electronic video stabilisation across supported video modes, helping produce smoother footage during fast-moving activities. Horizon Lock keeps the footage level even when the camera rotates through a full 360 degrees during capture. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 also supports up to 4x slow motion with 1080p120 recording, allowing fast-moving action to be captured with additional detail when played back at slower speeds. The lens features a hydrophobic coating that helps repel water from the lens surface. It is also designed with improved scratch resistance compared with the previous Max Lens Mod, with GoPro stating that the lens is twice as scratch-resistant. Installation is simple and tool-free. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 attaches directly to the compatible HERO camera by replacing the standard protective lens cover and twisting into position. It can also be removed without requiring tools. The accessory is waterproof to 5 metres when installed on the GoPro camera, although GoPro does not recommend using the Max Lens Mod 2.0 underwater because the wide-angle lens can introduce image distortion. The package includes the Max Lens Mod 2.0, protective caps and a cleaning cloth, providing the essential accessories required to protect and maintain the lens when it is not in use.
