The Seagate SkyHawk AI 20TB is a high-capacity internal hard drive specifically designed for demanding surveillance, security and AI-enabled video recording environments. With 20TB of storage capacity, it provides substantial space for continuous surveillance footage, video archives, analytics data and other large files.
Designed for professional surveillance systems, the SkyHawk AI combines high storage capacity with firmware and hardware features developed for continuous video recording workloads. It uses CMR recording technology and a helium-filled drive design to provide consistent performance in compatible surveillance systems.
The drive supports up to 64 HD cameras and up to 32 AI channels, making it suitable for surveillance systems that need to handle multiple camera streams alongside AI-based video analytics. It can support up to 120 AI real-time capture events per second and up to 96 AI real-time compare events per second.
The SkyHawk AI also incorporates ImagePerfect firmware, which is designed to help maintain smooth video recording performance in surveillance environments. Built-in RV sensors help the drive manage vibration in multi-drive systems, making it suitable for installations where several hard drives operate together.
Connectivity: The drive uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface for connection to compatible desktop computers, servers, DVRs, NVRs and surveillance systems. It is an internal 3.5-inch drive and requires a compatible SATA data connection and SATA power connection. It does not use USB, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity.
The drive features a 512MB cache and supports a maximum data transfer rate of up to 285MB/s, providing the storage performance required for demanding surveillance workloads.
